Ater VLA, we drove straight to Santa Fe and stayed there overnight. Didn’t get much time to explore the town besides walking around to get a place to eat.
Next day morning, the day of Thanksgiving, we drove to Bandelier National Monument. And the park visitor center was open.
The cave dwelling walking loop, 1.2 miles, is truly interesting and worth spending time checking them out.
One can climb up to the caves that have the ladder. One of those caves where people lived 800-yrs ago.
Alcove House, the picture above, is 140ft of ladders away from the ground. This ceremonial cave house is worth climbing up for the amazing structure people have build in that height and for the view.
If you ever get a chance to go to Santa Fe area, this park is worth visiting.
